Mikes Galley in Daytona Beach Shores

The people, service and food were fantastic! I'm just sorry I didn't take a picture of the food. If you love trying non-chain restaurants and local fare, this place is a must. It's walking distance from The Shores, which was great too.

Always delicious. The only place I eat breakfast at whenever I am in town.

When you go, go hungry! Huge portions and so good. Sweet and friendly staff.

We had breakfast here. I had the Pile Up with bacon. It was delicious, love the home fries. My husband had a homemade cinnamon roll and it was so good. Friendly staff and great service.

I had biscuits and gravy with eggs and bacon. It was very good. Biscuits were soft and pretty good sized. I took a chance on this because sometimes gravy is not good in some places but this place did not disappoint. Gravy was so good and had big chunks of sausage. A waitress walked by with a plate of pancakes and they were as big as the plate! I also saw a cinnamon roll bar so I know we will definitely be back to try other stuff. Also all the waitresses gave great customer service! Well done!

We were driving around looking for a good place for breakfast and, WOW! Mike's definitely fit that bill! My entire family was impressed by their menu and decor. And the food? Exactly what we were all looking for! They were busy but the help were so kind and happy you'd have thought you were the only people there! We will definitely go back!

Absolutely delicious food. We tried the perfect selections twice now buy advice of a friend. We were definitely not disappointed and there was plenty of food to take as leftovers home. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. Reminds me of being back home in Tennessee.

Great food and amazing staff

Our server was nice. The ambiance is cute. The sausage is very very juicy. Every time I bit into it, it squirted everywhere. The potato pancake with grilled onions was tasty, although I can’t recommend the pancakes or the plain home fries...too oily. I do recommend their bacon, eggs, wheat toast, coffee, strawberries and whipped cream. My sister’s eggs with ham, peppers, and onions were delicious. They play great music. I would return here.

Wow great food at a cheap price,not a stuffy place. I had Greek eggs with sausage toast and a potato pancake. Everything was great,the eggs were the best I've had

I've been going to Mike's since they were oceanfront, way back in the day, a tiny, literal galley kitchen. Since they moved years ago to the larger restaurant across the street and up the road apiece, I don't think Mike Cooks as much because the hot food is usually not as good. It's hit or miss. My mom and aunt still insist on going there for their sweet rolls and fresh baked goods. They have a cute little gift shop attached and a lot more space with a full bar. If you love freshly baked goods with a hot toddy, or your eggs with a bloody Mary, or just some friendly faces, this is your place as the service is always fantastic. I've never met sweeter, more accommodating, wait staff, consistently, over an almost 20 year period (my family and I used to stay at Beach Quarters, where Mike's original galley used to be). First on vacations and now as a resident more frequently. Check it out it, may be a 5-star day!

Overpriced and dishonest .I called I asked if they had any combo specials, the waitress on the phone told me flat out no. so I had to order everything a la carte. I did and my bill came to $20. There was no itemized receipt to show me how much everything was luckily as I was waiting for my food I found a menu and realized that they completely overcharged me for my meal. You're better off going to THE CRACKED EGG half a mile awayI spent $24 on a full meal for two Just yesterday. Smh

Not sure what all the bad reviews are about... this place was great! We went around 12pm and ordered breakfast. Our waitress was so nice & patient. Food came out hot and in a timely manner. Everything we had was really good, we will deff be back! Being from Orlando we are used to a certain level of customer service, and Mikes Galley met our standards.

Waitress was nasty, eggs weren’t cooked I ask for over medium and the white was extremely runny, not cooked. Due to a compromised system I can’t do raw food. When we asked the waitress if they could cook them to over medium she grabbed my plate never said a word huffed away and brought another plate after 10 minutes or more and slid it to me across the table. We had to ask for more coffee and she acted like it was an inconvenience. Sad because we had come in a couple days before and a different waitress with long hair was so good. Would have to think about revisiting after this experience.

Nice place, I loved the signs more than anything, they were funny, plenty of them were at men’s room. Good was ok. I had Egg Benedict but with salmon instead of ham. It was good. Hash-browns is always a good side for breakfast. Service was slow, the place wasn’t expensive but for its class I’d say it should be 10-20% cheaper. I. The video I uploaded you can see the creative way you can open the door without getting your hands dirty by placing the door knob.

French toast was okay, it just kind of tasted like eggy bread. Bacon was good but a little fatty and salty. My parent's meals were okay as well. Sausage wasn't the best quality I've ever had. Ketchup was a little sweet. Eggs lacked a lot of flavor. Coffee was good, the place was clean.

Delicious "mixes", large portions, and if you like your sweets, house-made cinnamon buns the size of hub caps. Definitely the best breakfast on the beach!

This place had a lot of great reviews so we decided to check it out. We were happy we did it was a delicious breakfast. We liked it so well we came back the next day. Jackie was our waitress on the first day every nice and attentive. Amy was our waitress the next day also every nice and attentive. Try this place yummy food and awesome service!

Mike's galley is moving down the street to 3162 South Atlantic The old Denny's restaurant it will take a bit for us to get it going again but we will be back in business soon we will keep you posted thank you for all your support Jill and Mike

Great service! The food was great and plenty of choices. We’re not natives, just passing though but would stop here again 😊 He has the Crab Benedict- lots of loose crab, not a crab cake. I had the Greek Mix- loved the homemade rye bread. The kids split a cinnamon roll that was easily a pound! And my husband and I split a coffee cake. $33 for everything. ❤️

I was staying in the area on business and opted to try a local place for breakfast. The service was stellar, I received my food quickly, the prices were low, and the food was excellent. For all of you who like your bacon crispy, that is how they serve it, which very much made my day. Will certainly return every time I am in the area for business!

I can't comment on the food, as I refused to eat here. I stopped in to check it out while my family shopped next door. Server at he counter was rude right off the bat.I asked to use the restroom and she refuses to tell me where unless I am seated first. I explain that my family is coming in after they shop and she reluctantly gives vague directions.One look at the restroom and I know I'm not eating at this restaurant. It looked as though it hasn't been swept or cleaned in a week. The smell was horrendous. I left and found my family. We ate elsewhere.

Was in Daytona and decided to try out this local spot. My waitress was super friendly (she's the one in the bar picture talking to other guests). I had the 11.99$ special since I couldn't decide ( everyone there said everything in the breakfast menu was good lol). Can I tell you that this is the BEST HOMESTYLE BREAKFAST I ever had! The eggs were perfect and the potatoes were delicious for being the first time I had them like that. Bacon was not too toasty and not too soft. Ham was so juicy. And do the get me started on the biscuits with gravy! The sausage did throw me off but otherwise excellent. If you're looking for a great local spot in Daytona, please give this place a try! I know I'm glad I did!

I really miss this breakfast favorite of mine, but am glad to hear he will reopen in the Spring 2 miles south in the old Denny's location next to the Red Lobster. Mike's is in my Top 5 of breakfast restaurants.

It smells amazing. They have Cinnamon rolls and other goodies.🍞🍳🍤☕ Lots to look at and Trivial Pursuit on the table. In a strip mall type of building, nice and large.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The menu covers all breakfast and lunch favorites which can be ordered at anytime during the hours from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. My wife, Marsha and I like the nautical theme and the layout with many comfortable booths. The service is second to none with Jackie being my favorite server. The food quality is excellent and portions very generous as well. A great value in an era where it's hard to find it in this industry. We tried the Cracked Egg down the road a couple of miles which was good, but prefer Mike's Galley for the reasons listed above.Bring your best attitude and a hearty appetite. This hidden gem had lots of good reviews, so we had to check it out. and we were not disappointed. One of the standouts was that everyone there seemed happy to be there. The staff was genuinely friendly and upbeat. I got a fried egg and croissant sandwich, and it was done just right. My husband got the mix seafood scrambled eggs. I tried one of his shrimp and it was grilled to perfection. The ginormous cinnamon rolls look so good, but we were too full this time. Check out this hidden treasure and you will see for yourself.

Definitely the best breakfast for a good value in Dayton Beach Shores. Great food prepared to perfection. Our server Lisa was terrific!!! She was Helpful, Friendly and a pleasure to meet👍😎 We highly recommend Mike’s Galley and will definitely eat there whenever in the area!!

Great Burger and Great Onion Rings!

Told our waitress we were on our way to the race with kinda rushed time. Waited 45 mins before I got a chance to ask if our breakfast order was almost ready. Mind you the place was packed when we got there but by the time I asked it had cleared out other than a few tables. She came back and told us 10mins the cook was just starting to cook it. My over med. Eggs came out under easy super slimy. So I passed on my meal. Going to give them another try when we go back to the beach.. But just not that great of service :( Loved the atmosphere though.
